Villa Cali

Experiences

The island is the reason

General Luna is the heart of Siargao: the surf of Cloud 9 minutes away, island hopping to Guyam, Naked and Daku, and an open-air fitness studio and pool to come home to.

Surf Cloud 9

The wave that put Siargao on the map breaks a short ride from the villa: Cloud 9, the famous right-hand barrel that draws surfers across the world. Gentler beginner and longboard breaks sit close by for a first stand-up, and the reception team can point you to the right peak for the day, the tide and your level. Come back salted and sun-warmed, and slip straight into the pool.

Island hopping

The classic Siargao day on the water: a banca out to Guyam, a single palm-crowned speck of sand; Naked Island, a bare white sandbar with nothing on it but the sea; and Daku, the big one, where lunch is grilled and the swimming is long and easy. Guyam lies about 3.3 km from the villa. Ask at reception and we will arrange the boat and the timing.

Out on the island

Where the days go

Magpupungko rock pools

At low tide the reef opens into clear natural pools you can swim and leap into, an hour or so up the coast from General Luna.

Sugba Lagoon

A still emerald lagoon ringed by limestone — paddleboard or kayak across the glass, or dive from the wooden platform.

The coconut road

The famous palm-lined road through the island's interior, endless coconuts arching overhead — best taken slowly, by bike or on the way to the lagoon.

Beginner breaks

Softer, friendlier waves a short way from Cloud 9, where a first surf lesson finds its feet before the reef peaks.

Pools & lagoons

Magpupungko & Sugba Lagoon

When the tide draws back at Magpupungko, the reef becomes a run of clear natural pools to swim and leap into. Inland, Sugba Lagoon lies still and emerald between limestone walls — paddleboard or kayak across the glass, or dive from the platform. Both make an easy day from the villa, and reception can help with the timing.

At your own pace

Guyam, Naked & Daku

Three islands in one boat day — a palm islet, a bare sandbar and the big one with lunch on the sand.

Magpupungko & Sugba

Tidal rock pools on the east coast and the paddleboard-still water of Sugba Lagoon, both an easy day trip away.

By bicycle

Borrow a bike at reception and roll out to General Luna Beach, the town and the coconut road at your own pace.

Train, then swim

Not every day has to leave the gate. The open-air fitness studio sits in the jungle green, the breeze moving through it — a proper session before the heat, or an easy stretch after the surf. Then a few barefoot steps to the outdoor pool, ringed by palms, to cool down and slow the afternoon right back down.
